Returning to exercise after pregnancy and birthing is something that needs to be supervised and supported, the water is the safest and most effective place for the woman to exercise. The aim maybe to return to her regular land training (i.e running) as well supporting the pelvic floor and rebuilding her strength. Becoming a post natal instructor enables you to support and teach these women in a separate class or as part of the regular class, understanding the adaptions and requirements for them.
