Description

The physiology of Immersion is a hugely under taught aspect of the aquatic environment. This workshop takes an in-depth look at the hydrodynamics & physical properties of water. By understanding these properties the aquatic professional can learn the physiological effect immersion can have on the skin, muscles & joints, cardiovascular system, lungs & diaphragm. As many people who attend the pool especially aging adults come with some co-morbidities then understanding how these might be affected by water immersion and how we can adjust the participants experience we can deliver a tailor made programme to help achieve a client’s goals more easily. This workshop will benefit all swimming teachers, coaches, aqua aerobic instructors, and aqua therapists.
