Aquatic Therapy methods and Psychomotor Education approach to children with Developmental Co-ordination Difficulties and Neurological Disorders.
Water is an educational and recreational space, in which we create interventions by applying the appropriate Aquatic Therapy Plan, according to the needs of each child. What are the Aquatic therapy methods we use? What are the goals and what we can achieve with each method? What are our tools as professionals? In this workshop we will explore and discuss how we can deliver Paediatric Aquatic therapy interventions in fun and functional ways. We will get ideas of Aquatic activities, incorporating the progression points of Psychomotor education, in order to develop Childrens’ motor behaviour, skills and abilities. We will focus in children with developmental coordination difficulties and neurological disorders. This class will share information that is important for Aquatic therapy specialists, professionals who work with children with special needs and PE Teachers.
